Allegations in a lawsuit are not findings by a court. A multidistrict litigation (MDL) groups similar individual lawsuits before one federal judge for pretrial work; it isn't a class action. Last reviewed October 12, 2026.

How these cases arise

Product and corporate liability lawsuits, including the mass torts grouped into MDLs, usually rest on one or more of these claims. Here is where each one comes up in the lawsuits we're reviewing.

  • Manufacturing defects

Something went wrong in how a product, or a batch, was made, so it isn't what the maker intended.

  • Design defects

The product is unreasonably dangerous because of how it was designed, even when it's made correctly.

  • Insufficient warnings or instructions

The label, instructions or warnings didn't adequately explain a risk the maker knew or should have known about.

    • GLP-1 medicationsMakers alleged not to have adequately warned patients or doctors
    • Depo-ProveraAlleged failure to warn about meningioma
    • DupixentAlleged failure to provide adequate warnings about CTCL
    • Hair relaxersCompanies alleged not to have warned about reproductive harms
    • Suboxone filmMakers alleged to have known about, but not warned of, damage to teeth
  • Environmental and corporate negligence

A company didn't use reasonable care, such as by releasing harmful chemicals or ignoring a known safety problem, and people were hurt as a result.

Based on the allegations described in the court records linked from each lawsuit page. The rules for these claims come mainly from state law.

What to expect from your free case evaluation

Whichever lawsuit brought you here, the first step is the same: a short form, read by our own legal team.

  • Our attorneys and legal team review it. Your request stays with Legal Rights Now and is kept confidential.
  • We contact you. We use the contact details you give us to talk through your situation and any records we may need.
  • We tell you what we see. That includes when a claim may not be a good fit.
  • You decide what to do next. The evaluation is free, and there's no obligation. We represent a client only after we both sign a written agreement.
  • Deadlines still apply. Asking for an evaluation doesn't file a claim or pause any deadline, so include the dates you know.
